In the peaceful rural village of Greens Norton you’ll find Hedgehog Hill, conveniently located just over one mile from the Northamptonshire town of Towcester. Hedgehog Hill has been part of the Best Start nursery for nine years.
Here, children grow and develop new skills through Awe and Wonder Based Learning, which focuses on exploring the world around in a way that is fun and rewarding. Each child’s natural curiosity is encouraged to help them discover new interests and develop their sense of self. To support this, we have a lovely garden area to promote a love of nature.
Our team of nursery staff are led by a manager with many years of experience in early years education. We help every child thrive and fulfil their potential without pressure, for the best possible start in life.
Our rooms
Daisy
This welcoming, cosy room is designed to help babies feel relaxed and nurtured in a calm environment. There is an emphasis on sensory experiences, helping our littlest ones learn and develop through what they see, hear and touch.
Buttercup
This large, spacious room is for our toddlers, with a focus on creating a natural environment where they can develop their innate curiosity and love of learning. Sensory play stimulates each child’s senses and helps them learn about the world.
Sunflower
Our preschool room is led by an experienced Early Years teacher to help prepare children for their next steps in life. Calming areas promote communication and language skills while access to the garden encourages an interest in the natural world.
Out and about
Thanks to the beautiful countryside setting of Hedgehog Hill, children can enjoy visiting horses and chickens nearby, developing a love and respect for animals. We also take trips to the conker fields and the pocket park for outdoor play.
Simply amazing place for little ones. There is nothing to fault here at all. They are get to be around, great staff and children, doing the most exciting activities. Could not recommend more.
